A Letter...

My parents just got this letter in the mail from John Hines:

The Parents of Andrew Dunkman
[I'm not posting my address online]
Woodridge, Illinois 60517

Dear Parent,

In the next few days, your son will recieve confirmation of his nomination to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology, to be held this summer in Silicon Valley, California.

Allow me to offer my personal congratulations on Andrew's achievements. You certainly must be very proud.

The National Youth Leadership Forum first became aware of Andrew through his participation in the Student Search Service sponsored by the College Board.

While academic promise is the first consideration in choosing participants, the Forum also seeks students who will contribute to the special strength and character of the program.

We expect to enroll an outstanding group of young men and women from a variety of backgrounds and with a broad range of interests and goals. We hope your son will choose to join these highly motivated and accomplished students.

I know you must have a number of questions regarding Andrew's participation in the Forum. Safety, supervision and finances, for example, are always important considerations. You will find detailed information regarding these and many other issues in the package Andrew will recieve shortly.

During ten intense days, Andrew will be challenged, motivated and inspired in a way unlike any other.

I commend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology to you without qualification.

Sincerely,

[signature]

John Hines,
Chairman
