Dustin

Hehe, my mom's boss just bought us a Roomba robot vacuum thing, it's awesome... we turn in on when we leave, and when we come back, either it's done vacuuming and is charging, or it's stuck somewhere under a peice of furniture... it's like a pet.

A Letter...

My parents just got this letter in the mail from John Hines:

The Parents of Andrew Dunkman
[I'm not posting my address online]
Woodridge, Illinois 60517

Dear Parent,

In the next few days, your son will recieve confirmation of his nomination to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology, to be held this summer in Silicon Valley, California.

Allow me to offer my personal congratulations on Andrew's achievements. You certainly must be very proud.

The National Youth Leadership Forum first became aware of Andrew through his participation in the Student Search Service sponsored by the College Board.

While academic promise is the first consideration in choosing participants, the Forum also seeks students who will contribute to the special strength and character of the program.

We expect to enroll an outstanding group of young men and women from a variety of backgrounds and with a broad range of interests and goals. We hope your son will choose to join these highly motivated and accomplished students.

I know you must have a number of questions regarding Andrew's participation in the Forum. Safety, supervision and finances, for example, are always important considerations. You will find detailed information regarding these and many other issues in the package Andrew will recieve shortly.

During ten intense days, Andrew will be challenged, motivated and inspired in a way unlike any other.

I commend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology to you without qualification.

Sincerely,

[signature]

John Hines,
Chairman

What a waste of taxpayer money... on a warm day, the faces look like they're going to spit, then water sqirts out of their mouth... it's pretty damn cool, but it's still a waste of money. Every once in a while, the screen changes to a waterfall scene also...

Don't forget a towel

Well, yesterday I met up with my brother in Chicago, we talked about his trip (he just got back from Habitat for Humanity) and then went out to dinner. After that, we drove over to his apartment, where he's going to be staying next school year, then dropped him off at his friend Cass's house. (He's staying there until tomorrow at 10:00, when his dorm re-opens). It was nice to see him again, and hear about his trip...

Aeia left! She's now parading about Spain... I dreamt that she sent me a text, but that's all I can remember. I already miss her, today is the second day that she's been gone. Oh well, I told her not to spend any of her 5 minutes a night that she can spend on the phone with me, 'cause she has someone more important to talk to. (wink wink nudge nudge)

Schedule for today is pretty meh, I'm just hanging around the house for a while, then at 5:00, I'm going over to a family friend's house, they're awesome, until 9:00. That's enough rambling... Stay classy.

Some crazy thing.

1. Name - Andrew, Dunkman, Dunkie, Dunky, whatever.
2. Age - 16
3. Occupation - Whatever you want me to be, baby... err, student.
4. Favorite Quote - I don't really save quotes and remember them... but I'll just go with "Rock friend."
5. Motto - Uhh, Rock friend.

FAVORITES:
6. Color - Blue
7. Food - Uhh, whatever. Probably Clara's alfredo pasta.
8. Soda - Barq's Root Beer, probably.
9. Drink - Smoothies! Yumm... I got a smoothie maker for my birthday this year.
10. Instrument - I don't know, someone has yet to convince me that their instrument is the best in the world. As for me, I like a good piano.

LAST TIME YOU:
11. Gave someone a kiss - Haha, besides my mom, and people like that... it was Ryan, like... September... it was the night of the B-Bash last year, on the way home.
12. Made someone laugh - All the time... like 5 minutes ago, while playing Zelda on N64... hehe
13. Cried - Closing night at the musical, though I don't know if anyone noticed.
14. Consoled a friend - Uhh, Aeia, not very long ago.
15. Played a game - Zelda... right now...

WHICH FRIEND MAKES YOU... THE MOST:

17. Tired - Same as above.
18. Happy beyond belief - A certain somebody...
19. Want a whale - Colleen... hehe, Bio class... that movie... etc.
20. Forget about everything - Andrew and Joe... just 'cause they're not all mingled in with the rest of my friends (not that I want them not to be, or intentionally kept them out... they're just not as of now) and so they don't bring up everyone else all the time.

RELATIONSHIP QUESTIONS:
21. Have you ever had sex? Yes, but I don't think I'd do it again.

24. How many girlfriend(s)/boyfriend(s) have you had? 3
25. How many of the above have dumped you? 1
26. If you could take your girlfriend/boyfriend one place, where would it be? I don't know, it'd depend on the person.
27. What would you name your son/daughter? Alex if it's a guy.
29. What would you like to be the song between you and your significant other? Magic.
30. Would you die for your significant other? It would have to depend on who my significant other is.
32. Would you die for your friends? I don't really know, I'll face that question when I have to.
33. Are most of your friends interested in the same things as you? Sure, they are... but my friends aren't interested in the things that my other friends are interested in.

Well, that was interesting. Got that from Colleen's Xanga a while ago, I've been meaning to post that up here, but never got around to answering the questions. Let's see... tomorrow, I'm going to an Eagle Ceremony in the afternoon, then off to Easter Vigil tomorrow night... I think that's basically it. Uhh, Sunday, it's Easter, so yeah, there's alot of fattening up in the works. Monday, friend's house in the evening, and going to the shoe repair and stuff like that in the afternoon (my in-soles wore through...). Tuesday, drive to O'Hare at 6ish in the morning to drop of my brother, who's flying up to Michigan Tech for the week, and then to the Museum of Science and Industry. It turns out that Colleen's going with me after all, and maybe Joe... and I've been meaning to ask Andrew, but never got around to it. Anyways, that's what Tuesday is like... maybe I'll tell y'all more interesting details of my life later.

This evening, after I got back from Chruch, I went out for a walk... it was really nice. It just looked so beautiful outside, with the dusting of snow sitting on all the trees... I took some pictures, they semi-turned out, and look good, but I probably won't post them here.. just 'cause I don't feel they show how good they really look. Uhh, I was out for an hour-ish, it was really nice. I talked to Aeia for the last 20 minutes, and then my phone died... but yeah, it was peaceful and great, I think I'll do it again sometime.

Well, that's all for now, I'll be seeing you later.

Oh, and happy belated birthday Mary Kate!

Colleen demanded for this picture on her Xanga... so I guess I'll have to put it up.

Mr. Conley's eyes...

Haha, alright so yesterday in the lobby of Daniels, John Heinze was standing there, and we were talking about... I think him taking off his pants without taking off shorts that were over them. On an impulse, he just pulls down his shorts that he had on, and he's just standing there in his boxers. He's like "Come on! Join the club!" and some junior that I don't know, who apparently knows John through band, pulls down his pants, and they're both just standing there in boxers. The best part: Mr. Conley started walking towards the group of us in the lobby, and I think when he noticed that they had depantsed themselves, he turned and walked toward the other corner of the lobby. Haha, he's awesome. Then, of course, the awkward moment: After John pulled his pants back up, he says "Alright, so if anyone has to come out, this would be the time." Hehe, he was joking, though... so yeah, that was weird.

That's pretty much the excitement of the day, we had a preformance yesterday night, it was fun... Went to Evan's house after, ahh, it's all farmy and awesome, I want to live there. Got home about 1:30. Tonight's closing night... woot woot.

Benny! He was chewing on some stick thing, I don't know.

John, again. He seems to do his World History homework every morning, and isn't hesitant to pose.

Haha, she was doing some thing, probably a movie would have caught the effect better. This was when Lynanne had my camera...

Ahh, D.J.

Mosquito Song

I know, I know the sun is hot
Mosquitos come suck your blood
Leave you there all alone
Just skin and bone
When you walk among the trees
Listening to the leaves
The further I go the less I know
The less I know

Where will you run?
Where will you hide?
Lullabies
To paralyze

Fat and soft, pink and weak
Foot and thigh, tongue and cheek
You know I'm told they swallow you whole
Skin and bone
Cutting boards and hanging hooks
Bloody knives, cooking books
Promising you won't feel a thing
At all

Swallow and chew
Eat you alive
All of us food that hasn't died
And the light says

Somehow they pick and pluck
Tenderize bone to dust
The sweetest grease, finest meat you'll ever taste
Taste, taste
So you scream, whine, and yell
Supple sounds of dinner bells
We all will feed the worms and trees So don't be shy

Swallow and chew
Eat you alive
All of us food that hasn't died

I know, it's tremendously depressing, but the music itself is KICK ASS. That's Mosquito Song by Queens of the Stone Age... I don't enjoy most of their music, it's too hard-core for me, but Mosquito song is all orchestral... it's awesome. Well, that's all... I was just listening to the song and was inspired to post the lyrics. I know, I know, 3rd or 4th post of the day... I'll stop.

Ahh, small world.

In response to mentioning Sue in the previous post, Jenn replies... "she was my neighbor in woodridge and shes good friends with my mom and dad and her kids babysat me and my sister all the time in woodridge. thier family is completely awesome"

As I promised...

An actual post... almost

I haven't really been posting lately, I've been very busy... but I'm going to try. Alright, so today and yesterday I haven't had any musical activities, I'm going through musical withdrawl. I find myself looking forward to Wednesday, tomorrow, when we have a rehersal, just to see the people. Ahhh, I'm torn. I want free time back, but I don't want the musical to end. I guess the only way for me to be happy would be to have more time, but that's not going to happen.

Also, I'm looking for a summer job... any suggestions? My mom wants me to get one at Best Buy or something like that, actually, she wants me to get one at Fry's Electronics more, but I don't know, it'd be a decent commute. I wouldn't mind though, I love that store... I know alot of people who work at Jewel, including this nice lady Sue... I've known her since... I can remember, before 1st grade, she's always worked at Jewel, she loves it there. It must be a nice place to work if she's been there for that long. I sort-of want to work at Ikea, but the one down the street (literally...) isn't opening until Septemberish, so that's no good. It all depends on one thing...

Report cards! I need to have an 85% average in order to get my liscense, which I most definatly need if I'm going to be working. Oh well, dinner time... I'll rant more some other time.

John Heinze... enough said.

Yeah John... it looks like he's falling on me. Haha, I have a picture of up his nose too... but I'll bless you internet folk with that picture another day.

Stoner Jenn

Alright, 2nd last picture for today... haha, Jenn is such a stoner. ;) Just kidding.

Peapod

Not the most interesting car I've seen, but I think it still deserves a picture.

Ice Melting

It's almost a science project, as my brother puts it. That's what was left in his tea after the ice melted...

Hungry stare

Ahh, Wolfie waits as my mom cuts the pork.

Opening night

Well, opening night was a few days ago... 2 days ago, actually... It went great, the audience was awesome, I don't know if we could have done it better. Yesterday, however, the audience was alot less responsive, and so I don't think that we did such a good job. That's about all I can update on, for now, grandparents are here.

P.S. Anyone that's in the musical-- is there a party tonight? Where? When?

Ahh, musical takes over my life.

Frustration

Alright, so a lot of things have been happening in my life the last couple of days, but I don't have time to write about them here. Probably like next weekend sometime, if I have time, I'll let you all know about it then. For now... I'm still alive.
